Lurline Costa-Moodie, age 95, of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 12, 2015, in St. Peter’s Hospital. Born on August 19, 1919 in Jamaica, W.I, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose A. and Maltilda Henry Costa. She was predeceased by her 8 brothers and sisters and her grandson, Khalil. Lurline came to the United States in 1968 and worked as a seamstress in both Jamaica and the United States. She enjoyed doing crosswords, reading, crocheting and traveling. She is survived by her four daughters, Sonia Moodie, Lisa J. Robertson (Dela Williams), Diane Robertson (Joan Hogan) and Mirta (Jon) Murdock. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Desiree, Kimberly and Krysten, great-grandchildren, as well as by many loving nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc. on Saturday, June 20, at 9 to 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 10 am. Burial will be at the Memory Gardens, Colonie, following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sudbury Baptist Church, St. James, Jamaica, W.I. The family of Lurline Costa-Moodie would like to extend a special thank you to the I.C.U. staff of St. Peter’s Hospital, as well as the staff of Catricala Funeral Home Inc. and Memory Gardens Memorial Park for their kindness and compassion.
