Obituary of Cecilia M. Meierdiercks

Cecilia M. Meierdiercks, age 85 of Clifton Park passed away on Saturday July 4, 2015 at her home. Born on July 7, 1929 in Elkins, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Agnes Martin. Cecilia’s life revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Cecilia was a member of the Shenendehowa Senior Center, and was an avid mahjong player there. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church where she volunteered her time and talents for many church and community projects. She is survived by her husband Donald R. Meierdiercks, daughters Diane (Frank) Manion, Debra (Tom) Carey, and Donna (Paul Murrain) Meierdiercks, sons Donald Jr.(Sally), Dave (Jan), Dan (Paula), Dale (Shelly), and Dean Meierdiercks, sister Grace Folsom, and half siblings Judy, Barbie, and Roddy. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass on Friday at 9 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. Burial will be in Jonesville Cemetery.
