Muriel E. Hine, age 76, of Clifton Park passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 4, 2014, in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s. Born on March 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy Mastellar. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Claude I. Hine, 1 brother and 2 sisters and her son, Daniel Carl Hine. Born in Waterloo, she graduated from Geneva High school and went on to attain her Bachelor’s degree at Barrington College. She was a social worker and very involved in children’s ministry, writing curriculum, and training teachers. She worked as Elementary Supervisor and teacher for Latham Christian Academy for 10 years. She also worked for Pj’s Barbeque as manager of food preparation, in Saratoga, for nearly 40 years where she was better known as Moo Moo. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Rick) Luetters and Beth (Jeff) Paige, sons, Phil (Linda) Hine, Mark (Toy) Hine, Dave (Sharyn) Hine, brother, Dale (Barbara) Mastellar, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be on October 11, from 3 to 4. A Funeral Service will be held at Temple Baptist Church at 4. Burial will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 14, at 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 142 Lower Newtown Rd., Waterford, NY 12188.
