Obituary of Susan Ostrow

Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We lost our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend on March 5 after 91 years of a beautiful life. While we will miss her greatly, we take comfort in knowing she is finally reunited with the love of her life, Paul, who she missed terribly since the day he died. Sue, aka Assunta, was a beautiful woman known for her willingness to always help others in need. She is famous for her baking, cooking, quilt making and enjoyment of life. She was generous, kind, never shy about speaking her mind, had a great sense of humor and loved her family more than anything else in the world. She would beam with pride when talking about any of her family. She loved life and aged gracefully through each of its stages, leaving her imprint along the way. She is survived by her children Michael (Cindy), Gene (Tracy), and Joan, her grandchildren, Jennifer, Maggie, Jackie (Steve), Julie, Paul, Sam, and Carson, her great grandchildren Emma and Aiden, and her adopted daughter Becky Detora. Thank you to all who supported her and our family these past few weeks- she, and we, felt your love and kindness. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., with a service at 4 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc. 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, or to a charity of your choice.
